Product Description

TYTRENE™ SE 30 densifying admixture is a specifically formulated to harden and improve finishability of concrete surfaces in interior and exterior flatworks. Featuring the latest in nanotechnology, TYTRENE™ SE 30 contains a liquid dispersion of discrete, spherical, uniformly distributed nanometric particles of amorphous silica. TYTRENE™ SE 30 is formulated to comply with specifications for Chemical Admixtures for Concrete, ASTM C494 Type S Specific Performance Admixtures.

Uses

TYTRENE™ SE 30 densifying admixture densifies concrete, helps to achieve  better surface finish  and is specially formulated for residential, commercial and industrial concrete flatworks like:

  • Warehouses and manufacturing plants.
  • Exterior pavements
  • Distribution centers. 
  • Parking decks - garages.
  • Retail stores and shopping malls.
  • Healthcare and hospitals.
  • Infrastructure.
  • Commercial offices.

Addition Rates

The recommended dosage of the TYTRENE™ SE 30 densifying admixture is 4 fl. oz. per 100lb of total cementitious materials content. Please consult your GCP Applied Technologies representative for assistance.

Mixing

It is recommended that TYTRENE™ SE 30 be added to the mixer at the ready mix plant. It is preferable that TYTRENE™ SE 30 is introduced into the mixer by means of automatic dispensing equipment. A range of equipment is available, and advice on supply and fitting is available from GCP Applied Technologies on request.

Packaging

TYTRENE™ SE 30 densifying admixture is available in 55 gallon polyethylene drums and 264 gallon totes. 

Storage

TYTRENE™ SE 30 densifying admixture should be stored where temperatures remain above 2°C (35°F). Freezing temperatures cause irreversible precipitation of the silica. Continuous exposure to high temperatures will shorten the shelf life. Avoid storing the product in areas where the temperature routinely goes above 43 °C (110 °F). GCP Applied Technologies recommends storage inside a temperature-controlled building.

Shelf life: 12 months.

Read and understand the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). All users should acquaint themselves with this information prior to working with the products and follow the precautionary statements. SDSs can be obtained by contacting your local GCP representative or office.

Compatibility

TYTRENE™ SE 30 densifying admixture is compatible with all GCP Applied Technologies admixtures. For use with other admixtures, we recommend you to contact GCP Applied Technologies sales representative for further advice.
